After much speculation, Benelli finally teased the upcoming Tornado 302R, which will eventually come to India by March, 2017. Now what’s exciting about the upcoming Benelli Tornado 302R is that the bike will look to reclaim its position in the European market, which it lost to the KTM, Ducati, Kawasaki and Yamaha.
Benelli had first showcased the Tornado 302R at EICMA 2015 and recently at the Thai Motor Show.
The new Benelli Tornado 302R will come with a 300cc, liquid cooled, inline 2-cyclinder engine capable of producing peak power of 36 hp and peak torque of 27 Nm, mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Tornado 302R will get a front suspension of 41mm inverted forks, with mono shock at the rear wheel. Moreover, with 17-inch wheels, the Benelli Tornado 302 will get Metzeler 100/70 tyre in the front and Metzeler 150/60 on the back.
The upcoming Benelli Tornado 302R will come with a wheelbase of 1410 mm and ground clearance of 180 mm and has a fuel tank of 14 litres.
The upcoming Benelli Tornado 302R will rival the Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC390 and Yamaha R3 in India.
We expect Benelli Tornado 302R to come for a price tag of Rs 4 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi) – Rs 6 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi).
