Indian SpringfieldThe Indian Springfield shares its name with the birth place of Indian Motorcycle.
Polaris owned Indian Motorcycle has launched the Springfield touring motorcycle in India. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 31.08 lakh (Ex-showroom, Gurgaon). Springfield is the name of the place where Indian Motorcycle was born.
It is powered by a 1,811cc engine that produces 74 bhp and 139 Nm of torque. Braking duties are taken care of by dual 300mm four piston disc brakes caliper at the front and a single 300mm 2 piston caliper disc brake at the rear.
The Indian Springfield gets a standard Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), keyless ignition, cruise control and a quick release windshield. Additional accessories are offered with the motorcycle such as premium concert saddlebag audio kit, Ape hanger handlebar kit and performance kit. The Indian Springfield will be offered in shades of Red and Black.
The Harley Davidson Street Glide Special is the competition for the Springfield in terms of pricing.
