According to reports, Tata Motors will launch their much anticipated SUV, the Hexa on January 16, 2017. However, the company has not yet confirmed the news and will wait for official confirmation. But till then, we expect the Tata Hexa to arrive in India by January 16, while the bookings for the same have started from November 1.
The drive train of the new Tata Hexa will be based on the Tata Safari Storme VARICOR 400. The new Hexa SUV will come with a 2.2-L VARICOR diesel engine that will produce peak power of 154.21 hp and peak torque of 400 Nm. The engine will come with two transmission option- a six-speed manual and an all-new six-speed automatic.
The all new Tata Hexa comes with the super drive modes, which allows the driver to change between 4 drive modes- Auto, Comfort, Dynamic, Rough Road, for a pleasurable driving experience. The speciality of this Super drive mode is that it is the perfect combination of engine performance, ESP, Torque on Demand (TOD), Instrument cluster display and the Hexa’s ambient lightning.
Under the IMPACT design, the six-seater Tata Hexa comes packed with impactful exterior and interior design, giving the SUV an overall sporty appeal.
The upcoming Tata Hexa will come with a wheelbase of 2850 mm and will be 4764 mm in length, 1895 mm in width and 1780 mm in height.
The new Tata Hexa will come with safety features like six airbags, ABS with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Corner Stability Control, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Traction Control System and Engine Drag Control System.
The upcoming Tata Hexa will compete against the Mahindra XUV500 and Toyota Innova Crysta in the market.
We expect the new Tata Hexa to come for a base price of Rs 16 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi)- Rs 20 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi).
