We had earlier reported that Nissan has commenced with the pre-bookings of its flagship product, the Nissan GT-R for an initial amount of Rs 25 lakh. Now, we have confirmation that Nissan will launch the iconic GT-R in India on December 2 and not November 9, as reported earlier.
With new levels of refinement and excitement, GT-R will delight Indian performance car enthusiasts with its dynamic new exterior styling, lavishly appointed interior, driving performance enhancements and key new features.
First launched in 2007, the sixth generation Nissan GT-R was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. The new generation GT-R has received the most significant changes since it was introduced in 2007. You can read about the same from our first drive review here. Engine:
The 2017 GT-R will come powered by Nissan’s state of the art 3.8-litre, V6, twin-turbocharged engine churning out maximum power output of 570PS maximum torque of and 637Nm, mated to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The mammoth power from the engine allows the GT-R to go from 0-100kmph in less than 3 seconds.
2017 Nissan GT-R will be available in Katsura Orange (new for 2017), Vibrant Red, Pearl Black, Storm White, Daytona Blue, Gun Metallic and Ultimate Silver with matching leather trim inside.
The GT-R will go against the Porsche 911 Turbo and Audi R8V10 in India.
We expect Nissan to price the GT-R at around Rs 1.5 crore (ex showroom, New Delhi) to 1.8 crore (ex showroom, New Delhi).
